Research from NCC and Erudine - Protecting Corporate Reputation and Brand

Erudine and NCC have carried out a rapid survey looking into security, policies and procedures, and their effects on corporate reputations and brand.

After several high profile breaches in security encountered in the UK this subject is at the top of the agenda of executives considering security risks and the implications on an organisation’s reputation and brand.

The survey was conducted amongst a range of respondents within 98 organisations in the UK. 52% were senior manager’s, 39% were middle management, while 9% were a combination of junior management, IT staff and end-user staff.

The survey found that as organisations tighten procedures and introduce rigid policies to increase security, they inadvertently encourage employees to conduct work arounds. This leaves them exposed and increases the risk to their corporate reputation and brand.
