Message Storm Analyser

The Message Storm Analyser is designed to replace legacy systems that are embedded within a larger system and communicating with other systems through Extensible Mark-up Language (XML), sockets, flat files, and other messaging services.

Replacing a system embedded within a larger architecture carries with it significant technical difficulties. Experts must ensure the replacement system communicates with external systems at the right time, with the right messages and in the right order. These messages, when considered together, could create a storm of messages that spreads out though the architecture.

The Message Storm Analyser provides users with a visual representation of the legacy system and all the communications required to replace the system.

The first stage of the Legacy Elimination process is to build a basic framework of the legacy system.

Within this framework, the user can send messages to external systems through the appropriate communication protocol. The Message Storm Analyser will check that the messages sent out from the Erudine system exactly match the structure and perhaps the order of those from the legacy system.

Cloning Behaviour

After the basic framework has been built and hooks are in place where the Erudine system can call out to external systems, the user can start to clone the behaviour of the legacy system. This is done through a series of Legacy Elimination tasks in which the user ensures that output messages are identical to the legacy system. The Message Storm Analyser will validate each message for accuracy and present a visual representation of how closely the Erudine system is matching the Legacy system.
