Behaviour Manager

The behaviour of an IT system is more than just its functionality (‘what’ a system does). A system’s behaviour denotes ‘what’ it does but also includes the reasons ‘why’.

Erudine's Behaviour Manager tool controls the addition, refinement, and deletion of system behaviour from its behaviour base. With this tool, the behaviour maintenance task is automated, freeing the user from the chore of ordering and sorting system behaviour, and eliminating the need to write behaviour in code.

The automation of complex behaviour creation and maintenance also overcomes a number of common problems in IT development, such as inefficient requirements capture, tacit knowledge, and the general errors and omissions common with traditional coding.

Erudine’s Behaviour Manager uses a number of intuitive processes to create and visualise system behaviour, including Case Based Reasoning, Conceptual Graphs, and the unique Conclusion & Justification method.

In contrast to traditional rules structures, which usually confer an upper limit on system complexity, the Erudine approach places no such barrier on complexity. Large systems with intricate behaviour can be constructed quickly and safely using the Behaviour Manager.
