Licensing Models
Erudine’s licence models are broken down in to production, development, and application-specific types. The prices of all licence models are based on the peak (maximum) number of CPU cores actively used in system development or run-time.Per core production licence
The per core production licence is suitable for run-time installations that are considered “live” (i.e. operational) in terms of data processing and are undergoing routine maintenance.Development licence
The development licence is available for application installations that don’t process “live” data (i.e. are not operational). These systems are commonly only used by internal development teams. Fees are 20% of the production equivalent.Application-specific licence
Independent software vendors or system integrators may wish to use the Erudine Behaviour Engine to develop their own systems or solutions and should choose the Application-Specific (AS) licence.AS licences offer substantial discounts for volume products but do require the products to be adequately defined.
Note – Support fees are not initially payable under the AS licence model as all product support enquiries are primarily handled by the software vendor or system integrator. Any third-line assistance would require the standard development licence agreement.
Consumption pricing
The use of Erudine’s technology can be priced on a consumption (per use) basis. Commonly, the price will be based on the number of transactions travelling through a system or a percentage of the total value of transactions processed. The suitability of a consumption pricing model depends on the type of system built and the guarantees (if any) that can be made as to the potential and future volumes of transactions.
