Legacy Modernisation

Legacy modernisation is about allowing your existing systems to be utilised in a modern and flexible manner. The new services exposed is a cost effective way of maximising your existing IT investment.
It is often the case however that merely exposing these legacy systems to new usage brings demands to change behaviour, increase performance and understand the behaviour being exposed. Simply wrapping a legacy system and exposing it as a web service often creates more maintenance headaches than it solves.
The Erudine Behaviour Engine fits in the middle tier of an enterprise system and addresses the core function of recovering and building the behaviour of the system.
Erudine’s Behaviour Engine is the first technology to combine ‘what to do’ and ‘why to do it’ in a single operation and introduces true system behaviour. Through a graphical user interface, you take a specific Situation and define a conclusion (what to do), along with a justification (why to do it) and create system behaviour. New behaviour is added when different situations are encountered.
The capacity of a developer to predict the consequences of change in complex code is limited. However the Erudine Behaviour Engine has no such restriction. It automates the detection and resolution of conflicts enabling massively complex systems to be easily cloned and modified.
Using the Behaviour Engine means that the changes to the business processes can be done cost effectively without jeopardising the operation of what is likely to be a mission critical system.
