Erudine aims to double workforce
A MAJOR recruitment drive to fill more than 20 posts is underway at expanding Yorkshire-based IT company Erudine.
The IT firm, based at Beckwith Knowle in Harrogate, is looking to increase its workforce by up to 50 per cent after its most successful year ever.
Erudine wants to take on up to 20 senior Java developers along with a senior tester, senior technical web developer, business analyst, consultant and project manager.
The company was set up in 2002 by brothers Phil and Martin Rice and currently employs around 50 people.
It recently won Computer Weekly's prestigious Best Place to Work in IT award.
Chief executive Martin Rice said: "We are a young and fast-growing company working on some of the most exciting projects in the IT world.
"We are a national company based in Harrogate, which is where we have decided to stay. Now we are looking for dynamic and imaginative staff to join our team.
"We were delighted to be named Best Place to Work in IT. The judges were particularly impressed with our mantra that 'software developers are akin to artists'.
"Our team is drawn from around the world and while we expect a lot from our staff, we are also offering them the chance to be involved in projects that will shift the very foundations of the IT industry."
