Interest in Erudine Behaviour Engine (EBE) v3 Beta community grows

Erudine is gaining a lot of interest in its v3 Beta Program which invites customers and partners to perform in-depth testing of the Erudine Behaviour Engine (EBE) v3 platform. V3 is set to include enhancements that provide customers with more flexibility and scalability to meet the challenges of authoring and evolving software consistently in high complex environments.
A growing number of interested parties are lining up to participate in the v3 Beta Program. “People are eager to see how the agile environment of EBE will help them to compete and thrive,” says Hugh Beever, Product Director of Erudine. “V3 will deliver a whole range of options to reduce the time necessary to perform critical software development tasks, especially when compared to traditional techniques.
EBE v3 product highlights:
- Extended behaviour testing: EBE v3 extends the unique ability to associate behaviour with requirements and automatically generated unit tests to encompass the entire application through the use of integration tests. This allows developers to immediately identify downstream impacts of behaviour changes and intuitively and easily resolve them.
- Integrated workflow & impact analysis: EBE v3 brings workflow into the authoring environment to ensure change can be modeled, simulated and tested across complex user interactions. By tightly integrating workflow with EBE, developers can see the impact of behaviour changes on business process flow even when it includes manual steps or external interaction.
- Improved behaviour prioritisation: In addition to generalising case driven rules Erudine now supports the concept of the importance allowing users to prioritise business behaviour whilst enjoying the same level of protection against broken behaviour.
- Enhanced behaviour visualisation: The enhanced diagnostics included in v3 allow developers to easily navigate around the application and quickly identify the root cause of any unexpected behaviour. Once found, EBE provides the ability to automatically accept or reject the behaviour.
- Powerful 4-D ontology: EBE v3 adds powerful new 4-D ontology capability that provides developers with greater insight into the impact of change across the application. Combined with the behaviour history viewer, this provides a holistic view and full impact analysis on every change applied to the system.
- Improved scalability & deployment options: EBE v3 has been architected to exploit the next generation of hardware platforms. Designed specifically to take advantage of multi-core, multi-threaded processors EBE provides significantly improved scalability and deployment options.
"Participants in the Beta program want to learn how EBE v3 can help them better understand and predict the consequences of change in complex code. They are looking for better ways to capture and manage existing behaviour, increase the quality of software production and workflow that implements this behaviour and protect the integrity of their application. EBE v3 will provide these capabilities and offer a core platform in which domain specific solutions can be created, as well as provide seamless integration with both standardised and proprietary interfaces," continued Hugh.
