Erudine Behaviour Engine v 2.4.3 released

Erudine Behaviour Engine v 2.4.3 released

Erudine is delighted to announce that version 2.4.3 of the Erudine Behaviour Engine (EBE) has now been released, supporting Java 6.0 as well as Java 5.0.

The patented processes and unique methods used to develop our flagship software means that EBE v 2.4.3 has greater usability through its improved interface, along with several other new functionalities which ensure the user has better visibility of the workings of the software.

Version 2.4.3 Overview:

  • Improved user interface:
    • cleaner look and feel with collapsible panes
    • split pane during node editing means you can see node context and behaviour at the same time
    • new zooming feature for both knowledge models and conceptual graphs
    • improved status notification including active task and progress bar
    • simplified icons for key tasks
    • enhanced node highlighting during behaviour authoring
  • Java 6.0 compliance - Run EBE in either a Java 5.0 or Java 6.0 JRE
  • Plug-in Browser - View details about all the available plug-ins from the Help menu
  • Schengen web viewer demo - An example of viewing a knowledge model via a website
  • Events tab - View application errors, events and messages
  • Import/Export interface with IBM Rational DOORS
  • Import/Export interface with IBM Rational System Architect
  • Improved Installer - Consistent installation process for Windows and Linux
  • Additional functionality available from the downloads section of Erudine's website
    • Bean to Graph converter
    • XML to Graph converter

The brand new interface provides you with more information through clearer graphics, split editing panes and a zoom tool.

All of this means you can now view a knowledge model and a conceptual graph in tandem, switching between the two quickly and easily. These changes greatly improve the authoring experience with EBE v2.4.3 and will simplify work flow through the client interface.

You’ll also find that the Plug-in Browser and Expression Dialog Browser have both been significantly enhanced. This simplifies the process of locating and using Erudine and user created plug-ins, providing context-sensitive guidance and help in the use of expressions.

The new Events tab provides extra support and transparency of events encountered during authoring and data processing. As a result, issues with the knowledge model can be quickly identified, traced and resolved compared to previous versions.

Beneath the new and exciting functionality, the real advantage is the core technology used to create the Erudine Behaviour Engine.

This gives you an enterprise-grade integrated development and run time environment that significantly reduces the cost and risk of evolving legacy systems. With v 2.4.3 of the software, all of this can be achieved more easily and with greater visibility.
